Celiac Family Story #1

“This is the story of my three celiacs kids, namely Ashhal, Fatima and Hassan. My youngest son, when he was only 2 and a half years old,we felt his height is not average, on recommendation we tested his TGA level and found out he was a celiac. I started weeping right there in the hospital lab when one of the medical students came to me and introduced herself as celiac,she told me to take it normally but while taking strict precautions from gluten.Alongside, she also gave me the number of Homemade Cuisine from whom I provided my child gluten free food for the very first time. We weren’t even able at that time to pronounce the word Celiac properly. I wept that whole night.

As the days passed, it became normal, but it was very hard to share with people. My second daughter got allergic when she was 4 years old. We got her tested too with a lot of fear in mind, prayed till receiving the results but all in vain. But it’s fine, it’s Allah’s will. As for other son, neither he had allergy, nor he had any symptoms, tested him too though ,he was too the same, But he’s still fighting with gluten, making the effort.

We both spouses are quite healthy, having no celiac. Regardless, we thank Allah that he gave us children and that too healthy ones.
